Finland asks you to show €800 a month for living costs, separately from tuition. Here is how the amount changes with your situation.
How the money you show is worked out
- Studies of a year or more: €9,600 in your account when you submit.
- Shorter studies: €800 for each month.
- With a living-cost grant or scholarship: subtract it. A €2,000 grant means €7,600 for a year.
- Free housing from your institution: at least €400 a month; free housing and meals: at least €270 a month.
- Tuition not yet paid: add the first year's tuition on top.
