How the process works

Studying in the UK means a Student visa, a licensed university, and proof that you can pay your fees and living costs. Here is the process from Nepal, step by step.

  1. Get an unconditional offer and your CAS

Your university gives you a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) once you accept your offer and meet its conditions. The CAS number goes on your visa application.

  2. Prepare your money

Hold your first year's course fees plus living costs for 28 days in a row, ending no more than 31 days before you apply.

  3. Take a TB test

Applicants from Nepal coming for 6 months or more need a TB test from a Home Office-approved clinic.

  4. Apply online and give your biometrics

Apply up to 6 months before your course starts, pay the £558 fee and the health surcharge, then book your appointment.
